City Library Konz: Events are starting again

City of Konz presents reading about a murderous string quartet

Conc, April 19, 2022

After a Corona break, events in the city library will start again in May.

Thursday is about a murderous string quartet, May 13, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the City Library, Konstantinstraße, 50. Author Tatjana Böhme-Mehner reads from her book "Leipzig Murder Quartet".

It tells about Anna Schneider, music critic in Leipzig. She actually likes her job, but sometimes she dreams of the big disclosure story, also hoping for more respect and recognition from her colleagues. The death of a string quartet member during a concert comes at just the right time for her, as does the absurd encounter with the Gewandhaus violist Habakuk C. Brausewind, who is now her co-investigator. The two plow through the swamp of the music city and have to deal with an ominous instrument dealer. Is he behind the murder?

Tatjana Böhme-Mehner lives in Saarland and works as a program editor at the Philharmonie Luxembourg. After studying musicology and journalism and completing her doctorate at the University of Leipzig, she researched and taught at various institutions in Germany and France and worked for around two decades as a freelance music journalist and cultural publicist in central Germany. She published non-fiction books as well as memoirs of her father Ibrahim Böhme.

Tickets for the reading cost 5 euros and are available from the Konz City Library, the tourist information office, the Kolibri bookshop and ticketRegional:
