Funeral/cemetery services

When it comes to grave types, a distinction must first be made between row graves and selective graves (so-called family graves).

Row graves are graves (single graves) that are occupied one after the other and, in the event of death, are allocated for the duration of the rest period.

Multi-digit graves can also be purchased from the election graves, which can also be extended after the end of the rest period.

In the case of row graves, there are now the following additional burial forms:

  • burials

    row graves
in all cemeteries except Konz-St. Nicholas and Konz-St.Johann

  • Sod Digger

at the cemeteries in Konz-Roscheid and Tawern.
The burial takes place in a lawn. The burial place is provided with a name plate with a floor plan measuring 40 cm X 50 cm. The type of stone and the type of engraving are specified in the respective cemetery statute. The area is maintained by the city or municipality.

  • children graves

at the Konz-Roscheid, Konz-St.Nikolaus, Konz-Könen and Tawern cemeteries.
    Other cemeteries on request

  • Muslim burial sites (only at the Roscheid Cemetery)

For Muslim fellow citizens there was only one Muslim burial ground in the near vicinity at the Trier-Süd cemetery. Since the conditions (soil conditions) were present at the Konz-Roscheid cemetery, a Muslim burial ground was set up in early 2012, in which burials without a coffin are also possible. In order to enable an unlimited period of use, the grave field was set up as a choice grave.

urn burials

  • ballot graves

in all cemeteries except Nittel-Köllig - depending on the cemetery as a grave site, lawn grave, in the urn wall or burial on a tree (Wasserliesch, Waldfrieden)

  • Anonymous burial sites only in the Konz-Roscheid cemetery

The urns are buried in a lawn. There is no indication of the location or name. The area is maintained by the city.

  • Community urn facility

at the Konz-Roscheid, Nittel, Tawern and Wellen cemeteries.

  • urn wall

at the Wasserliesch and Wawern cemeteries

  • urn lawn graves

at the cemeteries of Kanzem, Konz-Roscheid, Konz-St. Nikolaus, Könen, Oberbillig, Oberemmel, Pellingen, Tawern, Wasserliesch, Wellen and Wiltingen

The urn burial takes place in a lawn area. Two burials are allowed per grave. The grave site is provided with a name plate with a floor plan measuring 40 cm X 40 cm. The type of stone and the type of engraving are specified in the respective cemetery statute. The area is maintained by the city or municipality.
