The local law (also: community law, municipal law, city law) is the right of a local government to enact certain community-specific statutes and ordinances. Local law is a product of local self-government. The collection of the respective statutes and ordinances of a municipality is also included the local law called.
Public-law institutions (e.g. institutions, foundations, universities or municipalities) can issue statutes within the scope of their legal autonomy. They contain rules on the constitution, organization and self-government tasks of the respective body.
