Imagine it's a choice and no one goes!

Imagine it's a choice and no one goes! Equal Opportunities Officers support the "Berlin Declaration" and send video messages on the federal elections

On September 26, the new Bundestag will be elected, and in the district of Trier-Saarburg the district election will take place on the same day.

The burning glass effect of the Corona Pandemic has relentlessly brought it to light in Germany we are still a long way from equal rights for women and men. Implementation is lacking. And only with binding and effective measures can politicians fulfill their constitutional mandate of ensuring that the disadvantages of women are eliminated.

The cross-party alliance “Berlin Declaration” has existed since 2011, to which 21 women’s associations and 20 allies currently belong. The alliance of different professions and fields of activity, with its different priorities, stands for a large number of women and demands:

  • Parity across all areas of society,
  • equal pay and equal working conditions,
  • equality as a guiding principle in all policy areas
  • and a life free from violence for all women.

The demands affect all areas of social life and are aimed at the federal parties and their top candidate: inside

The AG of the municipal equal opportunities officers of the district of Trier-Saarburg supports the Berlin Declaration (www.berlinererklaerung.de; #Berliner Declaration) and draws attention to necessary changes in these special times with a new, digital form.

On behalf of the Equal Opportunities Officer, the cabaret artist Heike Sauer, alias Marlies Blume, produced under the motto: “Imagine there is a choice and no one goes” six short videos with the messages

  1. Yes I do! ,
  2. It's about the sausage ,
  3. Systemic importance on two legs ,
  4. Get involved instead of dusting ,
  5. Top dog gossip and cat wars as
  6. Females and males need to fertilize each other

produced.

The videos make you think, show how important it is to go to the polls and should help you with your voting decision.

The project is a cooperation between the working group of the municipal equal opportunities officers in the district of Trier-Saarburg, the equal opportunities officers of the districts of Bernkastel-Wittlich and Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm with the cabaret artist Heike Sauer.

We all have a choice! Let's use you!
