Road opening in the area of Goethestrasse/Schillerstrasse and “Am Markt”

Update at the Granastrasse/Schillerstrasse junction in Konz ( Friday 11/10/23, 9 a.m ): The marking work has been completed and the VG works have also finished their work. For drivers this means: The intersection of Goethestrasse and Schillerstrasse and the entrance to “Am Markt” street are now open to traffic again.

The Granastrasse/Schillerstrasse intersection will have to wait until the new traffic lights are finally put into operation. The associated contact loops were able to be laid earlier than planned, but the electronics for the traffic lights are still missing: they will arrive next week. As soon as it is there, the system is connected, programmed and set correctly.

Here are some impressions of the asphalting work and the preparations for connecting the new traffic lights with contact loops. In the future, these will ensure that the new system is switched depending on traffic.
