Monastery Park Festival on September 23rd in Konz-Karthaus

On Saturday, September 23rd, the second monastery park festival will be celebrated in Konz-Karthaus. The festival is organized by the Karthaus district office, the office of the DRK district association and the senior center of the DRK regional association. They receive support in organizing the festival from the St. Johann elementary school, the Rainbow show dance group, the St. Johann daycare center, the St. Johann altar boys and the Concordia Konz music association. The institutions, groups and clubs that are based in or around the monastery , also take part with food and drink stands, information offers, hands-on activities and a varied stage program. It starts at 2:30 p.m. with the kick-off for the girls' soccer tournament for the VG Konz elementary schools on the small playing field in the schoolyard of the St. Johann elementary school. At 2:45 p.m. there will be a musical opening on the stage in the monastery park by the teachers and children of the elementary school, followed by greetings from Mayor Joachim Weber and other guests of honor at 3 p.m. This will be followed by performances by the Rainbow show dance group, the Wasserliesch shanty choir, the Kitakindern St. Johann and the Concordia Konz music association. At the end there will be music to celebrate, dance and sing along from 7 p.m. The supporting program includes tours of the senior center, service living and day care, bread from the wood-fired oven, a children's flea market, craft and creative activities, a teddy bear clinic and games for children. Your physical well-being is taken care of with waffles and cakes, cold and warm drinks, ice cream and delicious grilled food.

The organizers and actors want to use the festival to make it clear that they are based in Karthaus and see it as part of their mission to have an impact on the district and to be visible in Karthaus and to provide information about their work. The festival should therefore also provide space for people to get to know each other and meet each other and thus make a contribution to ensuring that the coexistence of the many actors can further develop into coexistence.
