Kommlingen, Krettnach & Oberemmel: Free fiber optic connection until August 30, 2022

For the last time, residents and traders from the Konz districts of Kommlingen, Krettnach and Oberemmel have the opportunity to have a fiber optic connection set up for their building without additional expansion costs in "Fiber To The Home" (FTTH) construction. With the expansion, residents and businesses are future-proof: The planned fiber optic network offers transmission rates of up to 1,000 megabits per second.

Citizens and companies who decide by September 30, 2022 will receive the fiber optic connection free of charge. In doing so, they save costs of around 1,250 euros. When expanding fiber optics, a so-called micro empty pipe is laid into the building. A glass fiber microcable is then inserted into this plastic tube.

Westenergie Broadband GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Westenergie AG and is responsible for expanding the broadband network in towns and communities. Customers in the expansion area are addressed and suitable broadband products are sold as a service under the “E.ON Highspeed” brand by E.ON Energie Deutschland.
