Action group “Lifelong Learning” visits the Pianohaus Hübner in Trier

On February 22, 2024, 30 interested people from the “Lifelong learning, actively passing on knowledge” campaign group visited the Pianohaus Hübner in Trier. Owner and master piano maker Marcus Hübner told the history of the piano house, as well as exciting information and facts about Steinway & Sons. The piano maker Anna explained the structure and functionality of a grand piano in the workshop. To round off the tour, there was a small concert by young talent Elena Neumann (13 years old). She made the large Steinway & Sons B grand piano sound impressive and professional with pieces of music by Chopin, Rameau and Schumann. At the end of the afternoon, the visitors agreed that they had been given a lot of previously unknown knowledge about piano and grand piano construction in an easy-to-understand manner. Elena Neumann's concert ended with enthusiastic applause.
