“Digital Heroes” – smartphone training for seniors also in 2024

How do I search for a phone number on the Internet using my smartphone? And how does video calling with the grandchildren work? These are some of the questions that are answered in the “Digital Heroes” project. Last year, the smartphone training for seniors was able to introduce a total of 34 participants to the possibilities of using cell phones. Now the cross-generational project will continue in 2024.

The venue is the secondary school plus in Konz. Students from the “Digital Heroes” working group have decided to turn senior citizens into digital heroes over several weeks. They answer participants' questions, show how to use the smartphones directly on the cell phone, but also explain the dangers of using them - all in very small groups, which makes intensive support possible. The seniors themselves determine the pace and topics.
