Apply for address change in electronic identity proof

If your address changes, you must also have it changed in the electronic proof of identity (online ID function) on your identity card, your electronic residence permit or your eID card for Union citizens.
 

You can apply for a change of address for your electronic identity card or eID card for Union citizens online (if the local authority at your new place of residence offers electronic registration of residence) or in person at the Citizens' Registration Office at your new place of residence.
You can apply for the change of address on the chip of the electronic residence permit in person at the responsible immigration office at your new place of residence.

• When you go to an appointment with an authority, you must present your valid identity card, your electronic residence permit or your eID card for EU citizens, and your confirmation of registration.
• Your authority will store your new address on the chip in your identity card, on your electronic residence permit or on the eID card for EU citizens.

• You have a valid identity card, an electronic residence permit or an eID card for Union citizens.

• Electronic proof of identity is the online identification function of the identity card, electronic residence permit or eID card for Union citizens
• In case of a change of address, the address stored in the chip of the document (identity card, electronic residence permit, eID card for Union citizens) should be changed
