    According to the provisions of the Federal Registration Act (BMG), it is possible to object to individual data transmissions by the registration authority that are to be carried out regularly or on request.

    This involves the following data transfers to:

    1. the Federal Office for Personnel Management of the Bundeswehr for the purpose of sending information material to German nationals who have not yet reached the age of 18. (§ 36 paragraph 2 sentence 1 BMG in conjunction with § 58c paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the Soldiers Act)
    2. Public-law religious societies via family members of the members who do not belong to the same or no public-law religious community (§ 42 Para. 2 in conjunction with § 42 Para. 3 Sentence 2 BMG)
    3. Parties, electoral groups, etc. for elections and votes (§ 50 Para. 1 in conjunction with § 50 Para. 5 BMG)
    4. Members of parliament, press or radio on the occasion of age or marriage anniversaries (§ 50 Para. 2 V. m. § 50 Para. 5 BMG)
    5. Address book publishers (§ 50 Para. 3 in conjunction with § 50 Para. 5 BMG)

    Setting up transmission blocks and removing them is free of charge. An objection lodged remains stored in the population register until revoked.
