Acquired driving license for classes B and BE for accompanied driving from the age of 17
service description
In Germany, you can drive a class B and BE vehicle (passenger car) at the age of 17 if:
- You have passed the driving license test and
- You are accompanied by an approved and previously designated person.
You may drive the vehicle unaccompanied on the date of your 18th birthday.
However, if you drive a vehicle without a named person before your 18th birthday, your driving license will be revoked. To be added
- a fine,
- a point in the driving fitness register,
- the extension of the probationary period and
the arrangement of an advanced seminar.
What documents are required?
- Valid identity card or passport (identification document can also be an electronic residence permit (eAT) or similar)
- if applicable, with a current registration certificate
- Current biometric photo (size 45x35 mm, portrait format, frontal shot)
- Proof of first aid training
- Eye test certificate (not older than 2 years)
- Application form for participation in accompanied driving from 17 years of age
- Application form for each accompanying person
What fees apply?
- The fee is based on the fee schedule for measures in road traffic (GebOSt).
- If the driver's license is sent directly to the home address, an additional shipping fee will apply.
