When darkness falls, a metallic clang rings out in Konz, and the shadows awaken. UPCYCLING SHADOW – Nightshade Plants

The city of Konz presents a theatrical walk on Thursday, March 19th, starting at 7:15 pm, which is suitable for all age groups and families.

UPCYCLING SHADOW: The name says it all. Using two shopping carts as mobile stages, the artists Kaleidolux give facades and everyday objects like trash cans, whisks, and bottle caps a second life. The building material for their lovingly crafted figures is recycled material.

A dilapidated potato colander UFO floats past planets made of colorful PET bottle bottoms, while in the sparkling blue magic of the night, a to-go cup dove flutters amorously over the rooftops. Atmospherically enveloped in an interplay between concertante cello music and cartoonish sound composition by Peter Nickel, UPCYCLING SHADOW transforms locations into unique scenes.

The facade becomes outer space, the street a river, the shopping cart a seedy crocodile bar. A quirky, touching story. A fantastic adventure of two resourceful aliens who crash-land on Earth in search of spare parts to get back home.
