Honor for long-term commitment to the fire service

Heartfelt thanks for almost 700 years of combined dedication to the fire service! 18 distinguished firefighters from the Konz- and Trier-Land municipalities have been awarded the Golden Fire Service Medal by District Administrator Stefan Metzdorf.

Twelve firefighters received the award for 35 years of active service in their volunteer fire department. Six already have 45 years of service under their belts. Joachim Weber, Mayor of the Konz Municipal Association, Michael Holstein, Mayor of the Trier-Land Administrative District, as well as the local mayor and district chairperson and fire department leadership congratulated the firefighters on this special honor.
