Unfortunately, due to the corona pandemic, there was no public commemoration in Konz this year either. However, as part of a joint commemoration at the "Auf dem Sprung" memorial, Mayor Joachim Weber and Dieter Klever, representing the VdK local branch in Konz, laid a wreath together. The full-time deputy Guido Wacht, representatives of the fire brigade and the music association Concordia Konz were also present.
Mayor Joachim Weber emphasizes how important it is to commemorate the victims of war and tyranny. "We are setting a sign for peace."
