Village renewal: private funding

The village renewal should support a sustainable and future-proof development of the village and the village should be preserved and further developed as an independent living, working, social and cultural area. Maintaining or strengthening the functional diversity of the villages from an economic, ecological, social and cultural point of view is one of the main concerns of village renewal. The main tasks of village renewal include in particular measures to improve structures, which above all also contribute to the stabilization or strengthening of the town centres.

Promotions:

Grants are granted for the following projects (list of examples):

• Creation of new living space in town centers by converting vacant buildings or closing vacant lots in scale, village architecture (additional design expenses);
• Structural measures within the locality to maintain and set up new jobs close to the home;
• investment projects to ensure and expand a needs-based basic local supply of goods and services, creation and functional improvement of public facilities, especially in buildings or facilities that characterize the townscape or landscape; exceptionally also projects that are necessary for the establishment of a responsible body for the measure;
• Improvement of the living environment by demolition of sealed areas in natural open spaces;
• Structural measures for the renewal, expansion, conversion or extension of older buildings with courtyards and green spaces that characterize the location and landscape or that are of public importance, including additional expenses related to monument preservation and building ecology

The grant is up to 35% of the eligible expenses per project, but no more than EUR 30,000. For projects that

• to maintain and set up new jobs close to home or
• serve to secure and expand a needs-based basic local supply of goods and services,

the grant can be increased up to 40,903 euros.

No Promotions:

Projects are not funded

• which are wholly or mainly cosmetic repairs or are used for building maintenance,
• represent the measures in new development areas,
• that have already started
