Keeping a dog should be deregistered if:
• the dog has died.
• You have given the dog to someone else.
• You have given the dog to the animal shelter.
• Your dog has run away and you assume that he will not come back.The deregistration as well as the return of the dog tax tag takes place at the responsible office.
What documents are required?
Documents may be required. Please contact the competent authority.
In principle, however, the dog tax tag must be returned when deregistering.
What deadlines do I need to consider?
The deregistration must take place immediately after the end of the dog ownership.
