Election of the full-time deputy mayor
Marcel Dawen is the new full-time deputy mayor of the Konz municipality. The 31-year-old from Pellingen is a lawyer and has also been politically active in recent years, including as deputy chairman of the CDU at the district level and as deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Konz municipal council.

In the election by the municipal council, Dawen prevailed against the 42-year-old lawyer Kirstin Karaçam from Konz.

Full-time deputy mayors are permanent representatives of the mayor and head specific areas of the administration. Mayor Guido Wacht looks forward to working with Marcel Dawen for the next eight years.
