New post office in Nittel officially open
Deutsche Post DHL is significantly expanding its network of post office stations, offering its customers even more postal and parcel products at automated kiosks. The new Post Office Station 701, located at Wiesenstr. 9 in 54453 Nittel, has a capacity of 74 parcel lockers. Peter Mayer, Regional Policy Officer of the DHL Group, welcomed Franziska Hennen, honorary deputy mayor of the Konz municipality, and Peter Hein, the local mayor, to the official opening.
“Good and reliable local services are extremely important for our citizens. Unfortunately, this is no longer a given, especially in smaller communities. That's why we, as the local authority, are all the more pleased that there is a new service here in Nittel that makes everyday life easier,” said Franziska Hennen.
Mayor Peter Hein: “The new post office will allow for the 24/7 sending of letters and registered mail. The existing parcel station in Nittel is already very popular. Therefore, I am confident that this post office with its expanded functions will also be used by many residents in the future.”
Peter Mayer: “The post office station has a touchscreen and is intuitive to use. The machines have an integrated mailbox and parcel compartments. Stamps for letters and parcels can be purchased cashless at the post office stations using all common debit cards, Visa and Mastercard, as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay. Anyone who still has difficulties using the station or needs other assistance can easily contact the company's customer service via video through the control panel. A customer service representative will then appear on the post office station's screen to assist the customer. To receive parcels and packages at the post office station, a one-time registration is required, similar to the Packstation (parcel locker).”www.dhl.de/registrierungRequired.
