“Growing older – staying active”
The municipality of Konz cordially invites all senior citizens and their relatives to Senior Citizens' Day under the motto "Growing Older – Staying Active". The event will take place The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the community center of the Protestant church in Konz-Karthaus. Admission is free.
The Senior Citizens' Day is aimed at people who want to live well cared for in their home environment and offers an ideal opportunity to find out about support and leisure activities, to get to know services and to talk to experts and other visitors.
Numerous institutions and local stakeholders will be presenting themselves with information stands, including:
- Care support center
- Community Nurse Plus
- Caritas social services center
- Ritter Hearing Aids Center
- Konz Gymnastics Club
- VdK
- German Red Cross social service center / meal service / emergency call system / care association
- Malteser Hilfsdienst Konz and Trier
- Time Garden
- Dementia Center Trier e.V. Support Group Konz-Krettnach
- Rehabilitation sports “Exclusive”
Three short presentations will take place during the afternoon:
- 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Stress management – Dr. Dockendorf
- 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Senior safety – Mr. Jochem
- 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Project presentation with film excerpt “Digital Heroes” – Mr. Hurth

There's plenty of opportunity for physical activity too: various exercise programs invite you to try something new or refresh your existing skills. Coffee and cake are available for refreshments.
