Administration of the VG Konz: Construction department moves

Anyone who August 4, 2025 Anyone wishing to speak with Building Authority staff on-site should make an appointment in advance. The building department of the municipal administration is relocating to Konz-Könen, on the other side of the Saar River. The staff of the civil engineering and construction department, including facility management and the cemetery office, will move into offices in the Volvo Construction Equipment administration building (Max-Planck-Straße 1).

Telephone inquiries are still possible at the same numbers as before. You can find your contact persons on www.konz.de However, an appointment is required for an on-site visit to the new quarter in Konz-Könen - either after consulting the relevant staff directly by phone/email or after contacting and arranging an appointment via bauamt@konz.de .

The only exception for now is the building inspectorate. They won't be moving until the end of September. So, if you have questions about your building permit, for example, you can still find the staff at the market square in Administration Building II in the coming weeks.

There will also be no changes for other contact points such as the Citizens' Office, the Registry Office, the Public Order Office and the Social Welfare Office; they will remain in the Town Hall or in Administration Building II.

The temporary relocation of the Building Department is necessary due to construction and renovation work in the town hall and other administrative buildings.
