“Neue Mitte Karthaus” is a good practice example
Within the framework of urban development funding, many different projects throughout Germany are supported with funding from the federal and state governments. Development in the Konz-Karthaus program area has also been supported since 2010 with funds from the "Social Cohesion" program (formerly "Social City"). The goal of urban development funding is to provide resources for urban development projects that strengthen social cohesion, eliminate grievances, and improve the quality of life. The funding is aimed at sustainable structures, strengthening residential and business locations, and creating livable and socially equitable neighborhoods.
Information about urban development funding is available online at www.staedtebaufoerderung.info There you'll find not only general information on the funding programs, scientific reports on the effectiveness of the funding programs, and tips for the successful implementation of urban development funding, but also practical examples that demonstrate how urban development funding is being implemented concretely and successfully on the ground. Various successful examples from various cities and municipalities throughout Germany are presented. For several weeks now, the "Neue Mitte Karthaus" project, implemented as part of the "Social City" urban development funding program, has also been featured there as an example of successful project implementation. The link to the "Neue Mitte Karthaus" practical example on the website of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building is > here < to find.
Since the Konz-Karthaus district was included in urban development funding, more than 40 projects and measures have been implemented. A list and presentation of various projects is available > here < to find.
