Konz Music Festival 2025: Chamber music at its finest
Chamber music at its finest and excellent regional wine – that's what the Konz Music Festival 2025 promises. The city of Konz and the association "Vogel als Prophet" present eleven concerts in special locations, under the musical direction of Niall Brown, deputy principal cellist of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
As always, the Master Academy is part of the festival this year. Young talents from all over the world have the opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of top international musicians. They then impressively demonstrate their talent in several public concerts. Furthermore, the St. Johann Elementary School and the Gymnasium will be involved in the academy and the concert program.
With the " Pleasure of the senses” open the lecturers of the academy , Isabelle Trüb, Elisabeth Perry and Richard Wolfe at Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. together with Niall Brown, this year's festival at the highly esteemed Stefan Müller Winery in Konz-Krettnach. Under the motto “Chamber Music and Wine” Visitors can expect musical works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonin Dvorak.
It continues on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 7:00 PM with the French String Quartet "Quatuor Agate", which was named ECHO Rising Star 2024 by the European Concert Hall Organisation. “From Vienna to Leningrad” says the Haus Beda in Bitburg, at a concert as part of the local music festival.
It is a special pleasure to welcome the brilliant pianist and former co-founder of the Konz Music Festival , Joseph Moog, The Grammy nominee will present Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. “Piano masterpieces of the Romantic and Classical periods” and takes you on “a European journey through time” at the Müller winery in Krettnach.
We continue the next day, Sunday, 31 August 2025 at 7.30 pm also at the Müller Winery with the Kammerata Luxembourg . She presents “Sound Visions Between Worlds: Schoenberg and Messiaen in Dialogue”.
“Classics in the Factory” it says on Monday, 1 September 2025 at 7:30 p.m. . The Guest concert of the academics takes place at KAUTZ Starkstromanlagen (Diedenhofener Str. 12-14, Trier) and delights listeners with works by Schubert, Dohnanyi, Beethoven, Halvorsen and Shostakovich.
Also in the Parish Church of St. Nicholas in Konz This year's Konz Music Festival returns. Tuesday, 2 September 2025, at 7.30 p.m. the “Pražák Quartet” will be performing there, one of the leading string quartets of our time from Prague. Also participating is the festival's musical director, Niall Brown.
The young, international Musicians of the Academy prove their skills again at Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. In the wonderful ambience of the renowned Cantzheim winery in Kanzem present them “Vibrating Strings”, a string chamber concert with music by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Darvishi and Shostakovich.
The next day, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM A special treat awaits you with a joint concert the Big Band of the Konz High School and the String players from the Master Academy. In the Margarethenhof Winery in Ayl is it [called: “Spotlight Young Musicians” .
And also on Saturday, September 6, 2025 are the Participants of the Academy on stage. This time she is in the Contemporaneum Gallery in Oberbillig . The concert “Contrast of the Arts” begins at 7.30 p.m. .
On the last day of the Konz Music Festival, on Sunday, September 7, 2025 , visitors can expect two different concerts. As part of the International Organ Concerts, “Organ plus voice” various genres such as Gregorian chant, pop, classical, jazz and film music. The concert with Prof. Karl Ludwig Kreutz on the organ and soprano Eva-Maria Leonardy takes place at 5 p.m. in the parish church of St. Nicholas in Konz instead of.
“A cheerful farewell” awaits you at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Rochus in Nittel at a Matinée with the Academicians and the Utrecht Piano Trio - a festive finale for all music lovers.
