“Here comes the body police!”
Alarm, alarm! The body's police are on patrol to protect the body from dangerous invaders: nasty bacteria! The brave white blood cells, with their many cool tricks and abilities, keep us healthy and protect us from disease.
Children will learn how they do this at a hand puppet reading to which the city of Konz invites. On Monday, November 3, 2025, at 5 p.m. in the community center in Konz-Oberemmel, the message will be: “Here comes the body police!”
In her latest story, physician Dr. Sibylle Mottl-Link takes her young audience on an exciting journey through the body. Along for the ride: the hand puppet "Phagi," an enlarged phagocyte, who tells us about her fascinating work—and even about an incredible visit to her famous relatives in the Sesame Street in New York! Together they fight against nasty pathogens and playfully teach how the body works and how important our immune system is for our health.
The approximately 45-minute event is an exciting, humorous and educational experience for kindergarten and elementary school children. Tickets cost 7 euros and are available from Ticket Regional or at the city library.
About the children’s book author:
Dr. Sibylle Mottl-Link is the "doctor with the talking hand." With the help of cheeky hand puppets, she conveys serious health topics in such a humorous way that side effects like sore muscles from laughing are to be expected.
