Mayoral election on September 14, 2025

On Sunday, September 14, 2025 is re-elected in the Verbandsgemeinde and the city of Konz. The citizens can elect a Elect a mayor for the Konz municipality and a mayor for the city of Konz .

Following the meetings of the electoral committee on July 29, 2025, it has been confirmed that two candidates will run for office.

For the office of Mayor of the Konz municipality:

• Guido Wacht , proposed by the CDU
• Peter Hoff , proposed by the SPD

For the office of Mayor of the City of Konz:

• Guido Wacht, proposed by the CDU
• Frank Bucher , suggested by SPD & Alliance 90/The Greens

After the summer holidays Eligible voters will receive their voting notifications. This will allow them to apply for postal voting. On September 14, 2025, polling stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
