A.R.T. publishes collection dates for 2026
For environmental reasons, the Zweckverband (municipal association) will no longer distribute its own annual waste collection brochure. However, the collection dates will still be available in printed form – specifically in the local newsletters. In the municipality of Konz, this is the "Konzer Rundschau".
In 2026, residents of the Trier-Saarburg district can again find information about their waste collection dates through various channels. As usual, the new dates are now available on the website. https://www.art-trier.de/abfuhrtermin The collection calendar for your specific location can be viewed online. You can download it and print it out for your bulletin board. An email reminder service and the option to import collection dates into a digital calendar are also available. For those who prefer to receive convenient push notifications about their collection dates, simply download the ART app to your phone.
In addition to the digital schedule, residents of the Trier-Saarburg district can now find the collection dates for residual waste, paper, and yellow bags monthly in the local newsletter (Konzer Rundschau!), which is distributed to all households. This way, residents always have the dates at their fingertips.
Changed collection days
Due to an adjustment in the waste collection schedule, the days of the week for the bi-weekly collection of residual waste bins will change in some locations starting in January 2026. For example, collections that previously took place on Mondays in odd-numbered calendar weeks may now take place on Wednesdays in even-numbered weeks. The digital reminder services – both the email service and the A.R.T. app – will automatically reflect these changes.
Christmas tree collection
On the first scheduled collection day for residual waste in the new year, Christmas trees can also be placed at the curb for collection in the Trier-Saarburg district. If the Christmas trees are longer than 2.50 meters, they must be cut in half. Alternatively, Christmas trees can be dropped off at green waste collection points and A.R.T. waste disposal sites.
Appointments for hazardous waste
Hazardous waste such as cleaning agents, paints, or oils can still be disposed of free of charge at A.R.T. waste disposal sites. Drop-off is also possible at the A.R.T. mobile recycling center, which makes stops in many municipalities. The stops and dates are published on the A.R.T. website.
Collection of used textiles
Since September, ART has been collecting used textiles twice a year in the Trier-Saarburg district. The dates are available on their website. www.art-trier.de/alttextilien .
