With the opening, Volksbank Trier Eifel is focusing on providing cash close to residential and public transport – especially for customers and members in high-traffic areas. "Despite the increasing challenges surrounding secure cash provision, we want to continue to offer our members and customers reliable and attractive access to cash," emphasized Board Member Peter Michels at the inauguration. The modern self-service pavilions are not only functional but also particularly secure: "We placed great emphasis on current security standards when equipping them – and we did so in the smallest possible space: The pavilions require only the area of a parking lot," explained Regional Director Dirk Müller.
Regional representatives also attended the opening ceremony. Guido Wacht, the full-time councilor of the Konz municipality, Bernhard Marx, the city councilor, and Könen's mayor Erhard Holbach were pleased that residents now have access to another cash dispenser.
