LBM: Start of the 3rd construction phase on Saarstraße/L137 in Konz

The Trier State Office for Mobility (LBM) informs that the currently ongoing second construction phase for the expansion of the L137, through the town of Konz, Saarstraße, is expected to be completed on Thursday, June 12, 2025, and that construction work will then move on to the subsequent, third construction phase.

This includes the junction of Saarstraße/Saarstraße (towards the train station) up to the end of the construction at the Konz exit in the direction of Kanzem and will last until approximately the end of the year.

The work is carried out from occupational safety and traffic reasons remains fully closed. The existing diversion route via B51, Konz-Könen bypass, K132 via Wawern, and L137 towards Kanzem remains in place.

For further information on the diversion, please refer to the Mobility Atlas RLP at mobilitaetsatlas.de (Activate the diversion route in the side menu under “Settings”).

Road users (in particular through traffic) are asked to take the signposted detour.

Residents are asked to coordinate any unavoidable deliveries, etc., with the civil engineering company L. Elenz GmbH & Co. KG on site in good time.

Those involved in the expansion would like to thank the affected road users for their patience and understanding.
