Konzer Heimat- und Weinfest 2025: Enjoyment, music and tradition
Between July 18 and 21, 2025, everything around Konz Town Hall will once again revolve around great regional wines and plenty of entertainment! The popular "Konz Homeland and Wine Festival" is back for its 75th year – and numerous bands, artists, and local clubs will be there to provide a diverse program.

Live music with great bands will be offered every day. It kicks off on Friday with the unplugged band "Schlappengas," party music will be provided on Saturday evening by the band "First Men on Mars," on Sunday "Frank Rohles & Zentury XX" will heat things up, and on Monday, things will get very diverse, with star tenor Thomas Kiessling taking the stage with the Konzer Musikanten, and the band "Emotions" entertaining the audience with rock, pop, funk, and soul. Upcoming bands will play on the stage behind Administration Building II, and there will be a DJ night.
Also participating will be the "Harmonie" Könen music club at the opening and the reception for the wine royalty on Friday; the "Concordia" Konz will play a morning concert on Sunday afternoon.
Other highlights of the program include the traditional presentation of the candidates for the Saar-Obermosel Wine Queen, the opening fireworks on Friday evening and the vintage car parade on Sunday morning.
The TOPS Puppet Theater will open the family afternoon on Sunday with the fairy tale "The Lost Magic Crown." Afterwards, the Rainbow dance group and the Youth Center dance studio will perform behind Administration Building II.
Numerous food stalls also leave nothing to be desired in terms of culinary delights. Whether it's fries, bratwurst or dishes in the gourmet zone - everyone will find something they like here.
Special thanks go to the sponsors: the Bitburger Brewery Group, the Sparkasse Trier, Möbel Martin, the Kessler Beer Publishers and Euronics XXL Funk.
The city of Konz wishes all citizens a lot of fun!
Traffic changes before and during the holidays
To hold the festival, the entire market square, the parking spaces behind the town hall, behind Administration Building II and the parking spaces in front of the savings bank will be closed to public traffic. The closures will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Due to the construction of the tents, stalls, and rides, the street "Am Markt" will also no longer be accessible to public traffic from either direction. Residents can access the street from/to Schillerstraße via "Am Markt" as long as the construction permits. The entire length of "Brückenstraße" will only be accessible in the direction of "Bahnhofstraße."
Schillerstraße (L 138) will remain open to traffic during the local and wine festival, as no suitable detours are available. The speed limit in both directions will be 30 km/h near the festival grounds.
Buses and parking
During the local history and wine festival, there will be additional bus service every day. Buses will arrive and depart from the Konz-Mitte bus station on Granastraße. The city asks you to take advantage of this offer, as there are parking restrictions.
Due to renovation work in the Kaufland parking garage, parking spaces are generally free but limited. The parking garage is open to guests of the Local History and Wine Festival during the following hours: Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM. Please note: Vehicles CANNOT remain in the parking garage overnight until the next morning! Picking up the next day can be very costly.
Prohibition on bringing alcoholic beverages around the market square
During the festival, alcoholic beverages and glass bottles are prohibited in the area surrounding the festival grounds and the parking garage. This applies to Schillerstraße, Saar-Mosel-Platz, Goethestraße, and the parking garage building.
Administration opening hours
Due to the local and wine festival, the municipal administration and the citizens' office will be closed on Monday, July 21, 2025.
