LEADER funding: Projects can be submitted until July 1st
As part of the joint task of agricultural structure and coastal protection (GAK) in this
Year again the promotion of small projects (total costs up to max. € 20,000 without
sales tax) in Moselle francs possible. This is intended to ensure a committed and active development
of our region and to strengthen our mission statement “People-Region-Europe: Up
the way to the common region in the border triangle Germany-France-Luxembourg"

How does it work?
• You submit a complete application for funding to the LEADER
office on. The application documents can be found at https://www.lag-

• The LAG office checks all projects for completeness and basic
eligibility
• The members of the LAG Moselfranken evaluate the projects in a circular procedure
in July, setting a score and funding rate for each project
• In the next step you conclude a support contract with the LAG
Moselle francs off
• After completion of the project, submit to the no later than October 31, 2023
LAG office a proof of use with proof of costs
• The LAG office checks the documents and pays out the grants
• There is no entitlement to funding
What can be funded?
• The total eligible costs of a small project can amount to a maximum of €20,000.
• Sales tax is not eligible. Grants of less than €2,000
not granted.
• The selection of the micro-projects and the determination of the funding rates is based on the
approved selection criteria of the LAG Moselfranken
• The call for projects primarily serves the funding area “The rural character
adapted infrastructure measures for the development of the tourist

• Subordinate projects from other subject areas are also eligible, e.g.
various measures in the field of village development or small
infrastructure facilities
• Decisive for the selection of a project idea is how well it advances the region
and supported the implementation of our LEADER development strategy
• The following are not eligible: Construction and development projects in new buildings, commercial and
Industrial areas, land purchase, purchase of animals, required by law
Planning work, public administration services, ongoing operations,
Entertainment, expenses in connection with plans according to the BauGB,
Individual company advice, personnel and material benefits for the implementation of a
regional management

• Funding: €142,099.24 regional budget
• Start of call: June 1, 2023
• Submission deadline for funding applications: by July 1, 2023, 11:59 p.m. (deadline)
• Project selection by the LAG: in the circulation procedure after the end of the call for funding
• Deadline for the final statement: no later than October 31, 2023 (last date for the
submission of cost statements and payment applications to the LAG office)
Please note that only applications submitted by the deadline will be considered for the selection of micro-projects
