Homeland and wine festival takes place again after the Corona break - information on the program and traffic regulations

Conc, June 14, 2022

Finally home and wine festival again! After a long break due to the pandemic, the traditional event in the Saar-Moselle city can now take place again. "I am looking forward to welcoming many visitors from 15th to 18th July 2022 and of course visitors from outside," says Mayor Joachim Weber.

Visitors can expect a varied program around the town hall, which the municipal committee for the organization of the homeland and wine festival has planned together with the administration.

Even the very little ones will certainly be happy - for example at the family afternoon on Sunday with the cultural stage and the Konz play mobile, as well as the children's theater "Die Wunschhändlerin" on the fairground.

Car lovers can once again marvel at rare treasures at the vintage car parade and sports fans can do sports for a good cause at the “Zumbathon”: the proceeds from the donation go to the house for children in Konz.

In terms of music, the 72nd Homeland and Wine Festival offers something for all tastes: for example, classic rock by the bands “Timeless” and “Frantic”, rock-pop by the band “Finally” and “Frank Rohles & Friends” play greatest hits. In addition, there is a newcomer stage and a DJ night behind administration building II. But classic fans will also get their money's worth with the performance of the star tenor Thomas Kiessling and the "Original Konzer Musikanten" and the morning pint concert of the "Concordia" Konz will also provide joy.

Other highlights include performances by the show dance group "Rainbow" and the reception of the guest wine queens in the port of the Konz water sports club.

The official opening of the homeland and wine festival begins on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 8 p.m. - with the music association "Harmonie" Könen and the presentation of the candidates for the election of the Saar-Upper Moselle Wine Queen. Weinmundwerker and radio presenter Thomas Vatheuer (RPR1) will moderate the event. At 10:30 p.m., the very popular, large opening fireworks display will follow later in the evening.
