Events of the city of Konz in May in the Konz-Karthaus monastery

Conc, April 19, 2023

At the beginning of May, the city of Konz presents a puppet theater for children and a jazz piano concert.

Makes the start "About the little mole who wanted to know who hit his head" on Thursday, May 4th, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Karthaus monastery. The approx. 40-minute puppet theater is suitable for children from the age of 4 years.

Oh no! It's not okay at all to run your business on other people's heads, especially smaller ones. After all, even a mole is someone. A wicked injustice! Only one thing helps: up! And find him. The matter must be clarified.

A disreputable story between fur and poultry with a fine nose staged for characters and music. Wonderfully played by Maren Kaun based on the international bestseller of the picture book by Werner Holzwarth and Wolf Erlbruch.

Tickets: Admission: 6 € at Ticket Regional and all well-known advance booking offices as well as in the cultural office of the city of Konz and at the box office

Five days later the music continues – with the Jazz piano concert "Georg Ruby - Village Zone" on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. also in the Karthaus monastery.

With his ensemble VILLAGE ZONE, the Cologne pianist Georg Ruby presents music that is constantly in flux and brings together many things that would otherwise be strictly separated: the adaptation of chansons from the Berlin UFA era of the 1920s, improvisational music paired with the interpretation of jazz -Standards and film music, the inclusion of pop songs in sometimes miniature-like brevity. In addition to the Bamberg double bass player Stephan Goldbach and the Saarbrücken percussionist Daniel Weber, Georg Ruby presents the renowned Luxembourg vocalist, improviser and actress Sascha Ley, a personality who is known far beyond her home country for her original and undogmatic projects. In 2019, Georg Ruby VILLAGE ZONE was voted one of the twelve best international productions of 2019 by "ALL ABOUT JAZZ", by far the world's most important and influential jazz music website, and was also awarded the " German Record Critics' Prize “ 3/2019 (long list) nominated.

Tickets: Admission: 22.50 €/ reduced for pupils/students 15 € incl. VV fee at Ticket Regional and all known advance booking offices as well as at the evening box office
