Project call of the partnership for democracy in the municipality of Konz

promote democracy. Shaping diversity. prevent extremism. – these are the goals of the Partnership for Democracy (PfD) in the Konz municipality. PfD Konz has been funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the federal program “Live Democracy!” since 2015. Since then, a large number of projects have been supported and implemented on site. We are happy to support motivated people, groups and associations in their commitment to local democracy by providing expert advice on project development and implementation and by providing funding.

Young people who organize the "Konz wird laut #3" festival and exchange views on the topics of "queer diversity" and "diversity of origin", those who are interested in finding out about the European institutions as part of the "United in diversity" series of events, schoolchildren who are sensitized in projects for a respectful interaction with each other, interested people who deal with the traces of Jewish life in the border region and schools and day-care centers that take up the topic "Unique together" on the occasion of the reading day - these are all projects that will be carried out in 2022 by the PfD were supported in the VG Konz.

In 2023, too, we would like to be committed to achieving the goals of the Partnership for Democracy and to respectful and peaceful coexistence in a diverse society. Do you also have ideas for projects that promote democracy, diversity and counteract extremism? We are happy to support motivated people, groups and associations in their commitment to local democracy. We are available for the development of new project ideas as well as for the further development of "old project ideas".

In order to coordinate the project development and the application as early as possible, it is advisable to make use of the offer of technical advice and support from the coordination and specialist office before submitting the application. The applications submitted to the action and initiative fund will be decided at the next meeting of the monitoring committee on February 27, 2023. Applications should be submitted early, but no later than February 20, 2023.

Irrespective of the deadlines mentioned above, it is possible to have small and very small projects funded from the micro fund. Projects that are funded from the microfund can be implemented faster and with less application effort for the applicant. The maximum amount of funding per individual project is €750 (compared to €5,000 for applications for support from action and initiative funds).
