Karthaus neighborhood festival: Sing along, participate, celebrate!
The Konz-Karthaus neighborhood festival will be celebrated on August 30, 2026. This year marks the fifth edition of the popular event. With a diverse stage program, information booths, and sales stands, approximately 30 organizations, groups, initiatives, and associations will present themselves, showcasing the vibrant and diverse nature of Karthaus and everything the neighborhood has to offer.
Following the already traditional Family church service The opening ceremony, which takes place at 11 a.m. in the square and will be co-organized by the Arche Noah daycare center and the gospel choir “Happy Voices”, will be followed at 12 p.m. by the official opening of the festival. Afterwards, the Stage program with dance, music and singing performances , which is co-organized by, among others, the St. Johann primary school, the St. Johann daycare center, the Saar-Mosel women's choir, the Concordia Konz music club and the Rainbow show dance group.
The Saar-Mosel Women's Choir, under the motto "Singing is fun," offers the opportunity to sing along on that day. Women who love to sing are warmly invited to come to the church at 12:30 pm to rehearse a song with the singers, which will then be performed together on stage.
In the context of Information stands Among those presenting are Caritas, the migration counselling service of the Diaconal Work, the DRK state association with the senior citizens' center, the Foodsharing group, the community nurse Plus, the Konzer-Doktor-Citizens' Foundation, the Malteser, the New Apostolic Church, the care support center and the Palais with its transformation support service.
For the physical well-being The Kolping family Karthaus, the DRK senior citizens' center and the support associations of the kindergartens Arche Noah, Lorenz-Kellner and St. Johann and the primary school St. Johann are taking care of it.
Play and craft activities For children, the altar servers of St. Johann, the groups of the Protestant parish, the daycare centers and the St. Johann primary school offer activities.
The supporting program also includes the Karthauser Children's Flea Market (Prior registration at the district office is required).
