Steam locomotive shines in fresh colors

The historic steam locomotive on Bahnhofstrasse in Konz is shining in fresh colors! It has undergone extensive restoration in recent weeks to permanently protect it from rust and preserve it.

First, the steam locomotive was thoroughly cleaned. Old, damaged paint layers and rust spots were removed. Then it received a new coat of paint, which also took into account details such as the wheels and rods. An additional protective layer ensures that the locomotive will be better protected against the elements in the future.

The city of Konz thanks everyone who contributed to the implementation of the maintenance measure, especially the engineering firm Norbert Fischer, which prepared and supported the project on a voluntary basis with its professional expertise.
