Track renewal in the Konz-Karthaus station area

Deutsche Bahn AG informs me that, as part of its nationwide program "Germany needs a strong rail network", it will be operating from [date] May 26 until June 1st 2026 Track renewal work on the Moselle line in the area of the Karthaus train station, Konz is being carried out. Therefore, increased noise and dust pollution may occur in the following period.

• From Tuesday, May 26 until Friday, May 29, 2026 (Preliminary work, in shifts)
• From Friday, May 29 until Monday, June 1, 2026 (Main tasks, continuous)

Equipment used includes, among others, a track reconstruction train, a power generator, a two-way excavator, a switch tamping machine, a track tamping machine, work trains and various small machines.

Deutsche Bahn AG is making every effort to minimize disruptions caused by the construction work. Nevertheless, some disruptions and changes to the construction schedule cannot be completely ruled out. They apologize for any inconvenience.
