New roll-off container for the fire brigades of the municipality of Konz

The municipality of Konz continues to invest in improving the equipment of its volunteer fire departments. Its latest acquisition is a new roll-off container for water and foam firefighting operations. This will make the fire department even more effective in fighting fires – especially in areas with little or no available water supply.

The roll-off container can be flexibly transported to deployment sites using a carrier vehicle, for example, at forest fires. It can be used either directly as the first point of contact or later as support and resupply during a larger fire. The tactical benefit of the roll-off container is comparable to that of a large water tender.

In addition to a large tank for extinguishing water and foam agent, the equipment also includes breathing apparatus, water cannons, radios and two thermal imaging cameras.

The roll-off container is stationed at the Nittel fire station. From there, it can be deployed throughout the entire municipality of Konz as needed.
