New ADAC bicycle service station in Konz
On June 5, 2026, ADAC Mittelrhein opened another bicycle service station in Konz. The new location is in the immediate vicinity of the popular Saar cycle path (Saarstraße 1, 54329 Konz) and now offers cyclists the opportunity to carry out minor repairs themselves free of charge, 24/7.
Together, Prof. Dr. Peter König, board member for traffic and technology of ADAC Mittelrhein e. V., Guido Wacht, mayor of the town and municipality of Konz, and Marcel Dawen, first deputy mayor of the municipality of Konz, officially put the new station into operation.

“With our bicycle service stations, we want to help cyclists quickly and easily if they experience a breakdown or technical problem while out on the road. The repair stations demonstrate that the ADAC is there for you! Minor repairs can be carried out directly on site. If self-help is not possible, ADAC members also have access to our bicycle breakdown assistance,” explained Prof. Dr. Peter König at the station's opening in Konz.
The new facility is part of a comprehensive infrastructure project by the ADAC in Rhineland-Palatinate. This year, the ADAC Middle Rhine is putting a total of 24 bicycle service stations into operation. These stations allow for minor repairs to bicycles, e-bikes, strollers, e-scooters, or wheelchairs – anytime and free of charge. Equipment includes a foot pump with a pressure gauge, tire levers, and various wrenches.
“The Saar Cycle Path is one of the most popular cycle routes in the region and is used by locals as well as numerous visitors. Therefore, we are very pleased about the new ADAC bicycle service station in the immediate vicinity of the route. It is a practical service for all cyclists and meaningfully enhances the existing infrastructure,” said Guido Wacht, Mayor of the town and municipality of Konz.
With the new station in Konz, ADAC Mittelrhein is further expanding its network of bicycle service stations in Rhineland-Palatinate, supporting both everyday cycling and cycle tourism along the route from Trier to Saarburg. Additional service stations will open in the coming weeks along tourist cycle routes in Ransbach-Baumbach, Mayschoß, Merxheim, Hatzenport, Nierstein, and Andernach-Namedy. ADAC Mittelrhein also offers other services for cyclists. An e-bike charging station with lockers has been installed in front of its Koblenz office. There, cyclists can charge their batteries around the clock using their own charging cables and securely store accessories.
