Three new bicycle charging stations in Konz

Anyone traveling by e-bike in Konz can now charge their bicycle free of charge at busy locations. The city of Konz has made a targeted investment in its cycling infrastructure and put three new bicycle charging stations into operation.

The new charging points are located at Konz train station on Bahnhofstraße, in front of administration building II on Am Markt street, and at the Saar terraces on Saarstraße. This provides e-bike riders with convenient charging points at key transport hubs and rest areas.

The mayor of the city of Konz, Guido Wacht, emphasizes the importance of the new infrastructure:

"The new charging points are another step towards making Konz more bicycle-friendly and sustainable. This will make e-bikes even more attractive for everyday use and tourism."

The purchase of the three charging stations cost approximately €11,200. Sixty percent of the total cost was funded through the LEADER project.

In addition to the new charging stations, there will be charging stations on the opposite side of the Saar terraces. An ADAC bicycle service station will be installed shortly. It is equipped with high-quality tools and allows cyclists to carry out minor repairs and maintenance work themselves on site.
