14th Intercultural Weeks 2022 from September 21st to October 3rd in Konz
The 14th Intercultural Weeks in Konz started last Wednesday and will take place until October 3rd. Thanks to the great commitment of the actors of the intercultural network "IN Konz" and with the support of the partnership for democracy, the series of events has been making an important contribution to good coexistence in the city and associated municipality of Konz for years.
The consequences of the corona pandemic and the Russian attack on Ukraine have a noticeable and visible impact on our social coexistence. The social space and the people living here play a key role in shaping these challenges in a positive way. Terms such as "solidarity" and "cohesion" are given a face locally and have to prove themselves here in concrete terms.
Under the slogan #opens As part of the Intercultural Weeks, we want to create occasions where encounters can take place and trust can grow in order to ensure cohesion in a diverse society.
The program includes well-established and new event formats for very different age and target groups. With the Screening "We Are Here Now" followed by a film talk, a Cooking workshop by and for young people , the Reading "We are the same and yet different" with creative activities for children , the digital event "Language.Open.Culture." on the European Day of Languages , to the Play "To Europe" , one Intercultural breakfast , to the Cafe International and the Open Mosque Day events there are many opportunities for encounters, information and discussion.
