Have new address entered in your identity card

If your address has changed, for example, after moving, you must have your new address entered on your identity card. This involves changing the chip on your identity card and affixing a sticker with your new address to your identity card.
Even if you move abroad, no longer have an address in Germany and the address abroad has not yet been determined, your identity card must be changed. The address sticker will then state that you no longer have an address in Germany.
