Stationary traffic monitoring

The municipal, associated municipality and city administrations monitor stationary traffic in their respective areas. Any violations found will be punished with a fine. For more information, ask your local administration.

The "ticket" on the windscreen is a big annoyance for many motorists, but monitoring the existing parking regulations ultimately benefits every road user.

The employees of the traffic control VG Konz pay particular attention to the fact that during the patrols

· the occupancy of the short-term parking spaces by long-term parkers is avoided in order to achieve an optimal turnover rate in terms of trade and services;

· the use of disabled parking spaces, fire brigade access roads, sidewalks and traffic-calmed areas is guaranteed for their respective purpose;

· By monitoring the ban on stopping and other provisions of the road traffic regulations, smooth traffic in the Konz municipality is made possible and equal treatment of all road users is ensured.

In addition, our employees are the contact persons for citizens and visitors to our associated community, provide information about suitable parking spaces and report special incidents to the responsible authorities.

What to do if a warning has been issued?

All important information is printed on the warning slip. Legally, the procedure represents a written warning with a warning fine. It is intended to remind road users to observe the traffic regulations and to punish minor traffic violations committed quickly and without considerable administrative effort. The amount of the warning fine depends on the significance of the parking violation and is regulated in the nationwide catalog of offenses. It is therefore not at the discretion of the municipality of Konz. If the offer of a warning fine is not accepted or the warning fine is not paid, formal fine proceedings will begin, which will entail additional costs. Either a fine can be issued against the person responsible for the parking violation or a cost notice can be issued against the owner of the vehicle. Appeals can be lodged against the fine or cost notice.

Queries on the same day of the warning should be avoided, since the employees in the administration i. i.e. R. only have insufficient information about the administrative offense at this point in time.
