    The building supervisory authority can check compliance with public law regulations and requirements as well as the proper fulfillment of the obligations of those involved in the construction.

    Also in order to enable the building supervisory authority to monitor construction, the execution of projects requiring approval, including the excavation of the excavation pit, etc. only be started if the client has informed the building supervisory authority in writing of the start of construction at least one week in advance; this also applies to the resumption of construction work after an interruption of more than three months.

    Whether and to what extent an inspection of the state of construction is carried out is at the discretion of the building control authority. A certificate of the result of the inspection must be issued at the request of the client.

    The costs of construction supervision not covered by the building permit fee, in particular for the removal and testing of building products and types of construction as well as for the involvement of expert persons and bodies, shall be charged to the client.
