Due to danger areas, construction sites or events, there may be temporary demarcation of traffic areas. These barriers are ordered under traffic law and set up by the police, for example. Detours can be set up to keep the disruption to traffic to a minimum.

If work z. B. on the house, property or front garden on public roads (including sidewalks!), A traffic law order is required. This can also be the case when a construction site is outside the actual traffic area, but the construction work is different, e.g. B. by waiting articulated lorries, road pollution or other influences on road traffic. A traffic law order is issued by a road traffic authority and includes instructions and requirements for traffic safety for work on or next to a road. In any case, it must be applied for in good time if the work affects public road traffic, no matter in what way (§ 45 Para. 2 StVO).

In addition to the description of the job and the planned work, the traffic law order also includes information on the duration, the necessary signs and markings and the designation of a responsible person.
