Numerous cities, associated municipalities, municipalities and districts in Rhineland-Palatinate maintain partnerships or friendships with one or more partner municipalities - in Germany, in Europe, on other continents. These contacts always bring new impulses to cultural, community and economic life.
The aim of a town twinning between two towns or communities is cultural and economic exchange.
Partnerships between the European communities have the goal of anchoring the European idea in the population, spreading it and filling it with life. They should strengthen the awareness of being European and promote the construction of a common Europe.
Konz is linked in a special way to four cities through partnerships. Those are the cities Charny and Brienon in France, Koksijde in Belgium and puck in Poland.
