Like all authorities, the town hall has a duty to provide information to the public, especially to the media. Fulfilling this legal requirement is the classic task of the press office. The press office provides information both internally and externally and is the contact for media inquiries of all kinds. These are answered as quickly and comprehensively as possible in close contact with the mayor, the deputies and the relevant specialist offices. In addition, the press office informs about all current events around the town hall.
One source of information that addresses citizens directly is the weekly "Konzer Rundschau", which appears every Thursday and is distributed free of charge to all households in the VG. The "Konzer Rundschau" contains press releases as well as important information from the municipal administration, the city and the local communities, other authorities, the clubs, facilities and institutions and the churches.
The press office is also responsible for the overall concept and the current editing of the website of the city and associated municipality of Konz ( www.konz.de ) responsible. Other tasks include responsibility for the uniform visual appearance of the administration.
