Development plan “Extension of Möbel Martin”
Development plan of the city of Konz, sub-area “Extension Möbel Martin” 1st amendment – preparation pursuant to Section 2 (1) of the German Federal Building Code (BauGB) and public display pursuant to Section 3 (2) in conjunction with Section 13 of the German Federal Building Code (BauGB).
The city of Konz intends to amend the development plan "Extension of Möbel Martin" for the first time. The aim of the plan is to create the planning law prerequisites for the construction of a publicly accessible charging park for electric vehicles on part of the existing parking area of the Möbel Martin furniture store. The plans include fast-charging stations, ancillary technical facilities, sanitary facilities, recreational and play areas, as well as a food service area.
The City Council of Konz resolved to adopt the first amendment to the development plan on September 29, 2026. At the same meeting, the planning documents were approved, and the implementation of the public consultation process pursuant to Section 3 Paragraph 2 of the German Federal Building Code (BauGB) as well as the participation of authorities and other public bodies pursuant to Section 4 Paragraph 2 of the BauGB were also resolved.
The development plan will be prepared using the simplified procedure pursuant to Section 13 of the German Federal Building Code (BauGB). Pursuant to Section 13 (3) of the BauGB, the environmental assessment pursuant to Section 2 (4), the environmental report pursuant to Section 2a, and the statement pursuant to Section 3 (2) sentence 4 regarding the types of environmental information available, as well as the summary statement pursuant to Section 10a (1), are waived; Section 4c of the BauGB does not apply.

The interested public has the opportunity to comment on the proposed plans and offer suggestions. Comments can be sent by email to beteiligung@konz.de.
In addition, the documents will be available for public inspection during regular office hours at the Konz municipal administration, in the foyer of the town hall, Am Markt 11, Konz. These hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Questions regarding the content can be directed to the building authority at 06501-83-3100.
Please note that comments submitted after the deadline may not be considered in the decision-making process regarding the development plan.
Parallel to public participation, the authorities (public bodies) are involved in the procedure according to § 4 (2) BauGB.
